The heart of the Mikesell home is this incredible raised ceiling family room - the combination of the natural light that pours into the space & the two story stone fireplace gave us incredible bones to work with in designing a space layered in texture & cozy organic vibes to welcome their family & friends.
The room is grounded with a layering of an oversized indigo wool rug and a traditional Indian Dhurrie rug that Betsy & I snagged as a floor sample deal from Arhaus at 80% OFF!

When Betsy & Gentry Mikesell approached us about furnishing their beautiful TN family home, we were ecstatic to meld her love for all things equestrian (& cows!) with their inherent organic modern aesthetic. After refinishing the hardwoods throughout, giving the entire interior a paint refresh (in one of our favorite perfect warm white go-to’s, Sherwin Williams Greek Villa), upgrading the dated stair railings and replacing nearly every light fixture on site, we managed to fully furnish this property in record time!
